Dr. Udipta Ray is an experienced general and GI surgeon, with a career spanning 25 years. Proficient in both open and laparoscopic techniques, he is also trained as a Da Vinci Robotic Surgeon, serving as a pioneer and proctor in Eastern India. Dr. Ray is recognized for his expertise in GI, Robotic, and hernia surgeries, holding an MS degree obtained in 2001 and Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh earned in 2002. His surgical repertoire encompasses a wide range of procedures including liver, colorectal, gastro-esophageal, pancreatic, hernia repair, GI/HPB, intestinal, gallbladder, bariatric, metabolic, and other abdominal surgeries, performed using open, laparoscopic, and robotic methods.

Additionally, with 22 years of certification as a laparoscopic surgeon, Dr. Ray is adept in bariatric and metabolic surgeries, and is certified as a laser surgeon. He has contributed to numerous research publications covering various aspects of gastrointestinal surgery.
